75th National Day of Pakistan and inaugural Diversity Walk

CPACT celebrated the 75th National Day of Pakistan and inaugural Diversity Walk on 14th August 2022 at parc Eugen-Dostie in Ile Bizard, by hosting a grand free event in the heart of the west island of Montreal with over 2,000 attendees. Esteemed guests included MP Sameer Zuberi, representing the federal riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard; MNA Monsef Derraji , representing the electoral district of Nelligan as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party; Mayor Stéphane Côté : Mayor L’Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève and CONSUL GENERAL OF PAKISTAN-MONTREAL, ISHTIAQ AHMED AKIL attended the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, cake cutting ceremony and participated in the Diversity Walk.

The main aim of the event was to unite communities and promote cultural diversity. The outdoor event offered free activities for kids, Live Music & Performances, Food vendors and cultural items. We are thankful to our Presenting sponsors Mortgages Montreal Louis Voulomanos and TD Canada for their support and to our vendors who made this premiere event a great success. Entertainment services were added by ABS Entertainment.
